Horizontal Extensions - Elliptical & Eyebrow

Horizontal Extension Designs are available for both Elliptical and Eyebrow. The length of the horizontal extension can be 2", 8", 10", 12" or 16" to allow for varying sized columns or corbels. 


The Horizontal Extension can either be Mitered (see picture 23a), Coped (see picture 23c) or with an extended capital (see drawing below). Recessed Panels are also available on Horizontal Extension Units.

Horizontal Extension Framing

  • Unit Horizontal extensions can be either 2", 8", 10", or 16" long to accommodate small corbels or large columns. The horizontal extensions can either be coped, mitered, or with extended capitals, to achieve the desired design.
  • Units to accommodate columns are available in Elliptical and Eyebrow.
  • Extended Capitals are typically used with an arcade of arches.
